Police are in the Auckland Domain, where a person has been found deceased.
Police were called at around 3.45pm, after a member of the public made the discovery.
The site is in a bush area, between pathways on the lower side of the domain, heading towards the tennis centre.
It appears the person who has died has been rough sleeping, and has been there for several days at least.
At this stage the death is not considered to be suspicious.
Police are in the process of identifying the deceased and informing next of kin.
