Police charge 20 year-old in relation to Viaduct assault as enquiries continue

A 20 year-old man has been charged this evening in relation to a serious assault at the Viaduct early this morning. 

He will appear in the Auckland District Court on Thursday, charged with injuring with intent to injure. 

A second man who is believed to have also been involved is still outstanding.

Enquiries are continuing and Police still need to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened or who has information that could assist. 

The victim remains in hospital however his condition has improved and he is now conscious.
