Auckland City Police are looking for Ashwani Aggarwal. The 23 year-old has failed to appear in court on multiple theft charges and there are six warrants for his arrest.

The charges relate to thefts that are alleged to have occurred at the Auckland Library, in which victims had their bags, phones or computers stolen.

Police would also like to speak to him in relation to several other matters, including threats that he has made against several people known to him.

Due to the threats he has made, Aggarwal is considered to be dangerous and should not be approached.

Ashwani Aggarwal is aware that Police are looking for him and is believed to be actively evading Police.

Anyone who sees him or knows where he is should call 111 immediately.

Non-urgent information can also be given to the Auckland CIB Crime Squad by calling 09 302 6557.
