Auckland City Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify a young man who was found unconscious in Remuera last night.

The man, thought to be aged between 18 and 25, was found on Peach Parade at approximately 8.40pm last night (Tuesday 22 September). He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is currently in an induced coma.

Police are still trying to identify the man and establish what happened to him.

Detective Senior Sergeant, Andrew Saunders said the young man had no wallet on him and no identification of any kind but was wearing some distinctive items of clothing.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may be able to help us identify this young man. He was wearing a Mickey Mouse watch (pictured) and a pair of Geox trainers which are not commonly available in New Zealand.”

The man is described as Caucasian with brown hair. He was wearing an olive coloured  German Army jacket, blue jeans, brown-coloured GEOX shoes together with the Mickey Mouse watch with black leather strap.

Anyone who may be able to assist the Police should contact the Auckland City Crime Squad on (09) 302 6557.
