Shortly after 5pm tonight Rotorua Police were alerted to a motorcycle driving recklessly in the Lake Road and Old Taupo Road area.
Police received five separate calls from the public complaining of dangerous driving. The bike has been described as driving on the wrong side of the road, weaving between vehicles, crossing pedestrian only areas and putting other road users at risk.
The motorcycle is described as a Blue Yamaha Trail bike. The driver was not wearing a helmet and is described as male, Maori, early 20's wearing a blue hooded top, dark pants and a scarf covering his face.
Someone will know the identity of this motorcyclist and we ask that they ring Rotorua Police on 07 348 0099. Information can also be provided anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
