Police seeking help with identity and information following Porirua incident

Wellington Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man in a critical condition who was involved in an incident in Porirua this afternoon.

Just after 4pm, Police and other emergency services attended the scene on Warspite Avenue, where a man had exited a car.

He was taken to Wellington Hospital in a critical condition.

The man’s identity remains unknown, and Police are seeking any information from the public which may help identify him.

He is described as Maori or Polynesian, in his mid-30s, of a large/solid build, around 185cm (6 foot) tall, and with short black hair cut to about a #2 or #3 length. He has a small amount of facial hair on his chin.

Police are working to establish the sequence of events which led to the man being hospitalised, and are appealing to the public for help.
