Queenstown Police investigating indecent assault

Queenstown Police are investigating an indecent assault that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning (18 December 2016) in Queenstown.

The incident occurred at approximately 3.50am on Gorge Road between Robins Road and Hylton Place.

The female victim in her late 20s was walking home from a function when she was approached and indecently assaulted by a male offender. He ran off towards the north, on Gorge Road following the assault.

The male is described as Asian, in his mid-20s, 170cm tall, clean shaven with black hair.

He was wearing a dark jacket with a light coloured top underneath, long pants and sneakers.  

This type of offending is uncommon in the Queenstown area and Police are making enquiries as well as reviewing CCTV footage from the area.
