Police are seeking sightings or information about Kurt Millan Green.

Christchurch and West Coast Police are continuing the search for a missing Christchurch man, who is believed to have been in the Greymouth area.

Kurt Millan Green, a 30 year old male Caucasian, was last seen in the Blaketown beach area near Greymouth, on Sunday 9 March.

Police confirmed today that some items belonging to Mr Green, including a bag, his shoes and socks, had been located on Blaketown beach last week.

A police search team has been in the area today, searching the beach on both sides of the Grey River mouth.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Illingworth, of Christchurch Police, says investigators are continuing to treat the case as a missing person inquiry.

"We know Mr Green travelled from Christchurch to the West Coast on Saturday 8 March, and that he stayed with friends in the Blaketown area that night.

"He was last seen walking from their address towards the Blaketown tip head on Sunday 9 March.

"We remain concerned for Mr Green as he has not been in contact with family or friends since that time, which is out character for him."

Police have also released a photograph of Mr Green taken on the night of 8 March, showing him wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. He is described as 180cm (5ft 11in) tall, of medium build.

Police are appealing for anyone who has seen Mr Green or has information about his whereabouts to contact Christchurch police on (03) 3637400 or Greymouth Police, (03) 7681600.
