Hutt Valley police are investigating a serious assault which took place at an address on Randwick Road, Moera at approximately 7:20pm last night.
A male is currently in ICU at Wellington Hospital with facial fractures, fractured skull and lacerations to his head. His condition is described as critical.
“A team of investigators are making enquiries and police are speaking to a 43 year-old male in relation to the incident,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnett.
“Police staff and the Environmental and Science Research (ESR) team are also continuing a scene examination at the address today,” says Mr Barnett.
