Police are currently off at a serious crash at the intersection of State Highway 57 and Waihou Road, Levin.
Two vehicles have collided and emergency services are on the scene. There was one occupant in each vehicle. One female has been confirmed dead at the scene, and the driver of the other vehicle, also a female, has been taken to Palmerston North hospital in a serious condition.
Cordons are in place around the scene. Police would asked motorists to avoid this area.
Police Serious Crash Unit are on the scene.
