Police and emergency services are responding to reports of a serious crash on Brigham Creek Road, Whenuapai.
Police were notified of the two vehicle crash, involving a car and a truck, shortly after 12pm today.
Initial indications are at least two people have sustained critical injuries.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area as Brigham Creek Road will be closed for some time.
Motorists are advised to take an alternative route and diversions will be put in place shortly.
The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance.
