Serious Injury Crash, Herne Bay, Auckland

Police are investigating the scene of a critical injury, single vehicle crash on Curran Street, Herne Bay, Auckland, that has occurred at about 02:54 a.m.  A 31 year old male is being treated for serious head injuries, after the car he was driving has left the road, and rolled down an embankment, before coming to rest on the shoreline.  His injuries are considered to be life threatening. Serious Crash are in attendance. One lane is blocked on Curran Street and will not open until mid-day, expect delays.
