Police have today arrested seven men on firearms offences during a series of warrants in Rotorua.
The warrants were part of an ongoing investigation into an incident on Friday (11 December) in the Turner Drive area of Western Heights during which two men suffered gunshot injuries.
The Armed Offenders assisted with today’s operation at addresses in Western Heights and Mamaku.
The men aged between 19 and 59 will be appearing in Rotorua District Court tomorrow.
Since Friday, officers investigating the incident, have recovered five firearms, a number of other weapons and cannabis.
