A log truck has rolled and a second truck has jack-knifed in icy conditions on State Highway 6 near Owen River, north of Murchison.
Logs have spilled over the highway and the driver of the log truck was initially trapped in the cab following the crash which happened about 3.30pm today.
The driver has now been airlifted to hospital.
A second truck has also blocked the highway after losing control.
Motorists travelling south are advised the highway is expected to be closed for several hours this evening. Drivers are also reminded that conditions are treacherous on a number of the region’s roads.
