Two males have been arrested as Police continues to investigate the serious assault of a bus driver in Manurewa this evening.
Police and ambulance were called to Browns Road about 5:45pm where a bus driver had been stabbed.
The man was taken to Middlemore Hospital in a serious condition with injuries to his stomach and neck.
Some quick work by Police staff at the scene helped prevent the injuries becoming more serious.
A 15 year old and a 20 year old were arrested this evening at a nearby address, and are due in the Manukau Youth Court and District Court tomorrow.
Passengers on the bus were being spoken to and will be offered support.
The bus will be forensically examined as part of ongoing inquiries.
