Counties Manukau Police are investigating a robbery of the Video Expo store in Cavendish Drive, Manukau, which occurred on Monday 31 March at 8:16am.

This incident follows a similar one in the same store in February and in the East Tamaki Video Expo store earlier in March.  The Papakura Video Expo store was targeted in overnight burglaries twice in February.

Police have positively identified 18 year old Corban Kawharu Kora as a suspect in the two robberies of the Cavendish Drive store and have fourteen warrants to arrest him on these and other matters.

Mr Kora and an associate are seen on Monday’s CCTV footage entering the store and threatening the attendant with a firearm.

“To assist our enquiries at this point, we are interested to hear from anyone has recently seen Corban Kora or knows where he is at the moment,” says Detective Sergeant Dave Honiss of Counties Manukau Central CIB.  “He is aware Police are looking for him and is actively evading arrest.  We believe he will continue on his crime spree until he is caught and therefore need to locate him as soon as possible.

Anyone with information can contact Detective Sergeant Dave Honiss at Counties Manukau Police on 09 353 0385 or information can also be provided anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
