1 min read

Timaru Police have arrested two men, aged 30 and 32, for the burglary of farm property in Morven, South Canterbury on 24 March 2018.

A significant amount of property was taken including farm bikes, quad bikes, chainsaws, a ride on mower and tools.

At the time of the burglary, the property was under quarantine due to the Mycoplasma Bovis outbreak.

“Some of the property has been recovered from Timaru, Geraldine and Pleasant Point, including two farm bikes, generators, power tools and many other items,” Timaru Tactical Crime Unit Sergeant Kevin McErlain says.

One man will appear in the Timaru District Court today (9 April) and his bail is being opposed.

The Ministry for Primary Industries has been advised of the arrests.
