Two Men Arrested in Relation to Cromwell Assault

Today, (1st March 2016) Central Otago Police arrested two men in relation to a serious assault that occurred in The Mall at Cromwell at 12.10am on Saturday, 27th February 2016.

 

An 18 year old employed Cromwell man has been arrested and charged with Wounding with Intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm and theft.

 

A 17 year old unemployed Cromwell man has been charged with Disorderly Behaviour, Likely to cause Violence and Threatening Language.

 

Both men have been bailed and will appear in the Alexandra District Court tomorrow (Wednesday, 2nd March 2016).

 

The victim is recovering from serious injuries and is receiving ongoing treatment.

 

As the matter is now before the court there will be no further comment from Police.
