Two vehicles impounded after anti-social driving in Puketapu, Hastings

Hawke's Bay Police have impounded two vehicles after reports of anti-social driving behaviours across Puketapu, Hastings.

On Friday 1 March, Police received multiple reports of illegal street racing activity in the Apley Road/Dartmoor Road area, between 9:20pm and 11:30pm.

Police received enough information to conduct a range of enquiries in the following days and have now impounded two vehicles for 28 days due to sustained loss of traction.

Hawke's Bay Police are continuing to follow lines of enquiry to locate the other vehicles participating in these anti-social driving behaviours.

Police acknowledge and thank members of the Puketapu community for reporting their concerns to us and continue to urge the public to contact Police when they see illegal activities like this happening.
