Following an incident in Highbury on Tuesday 29 August, a 25-year-old man was this morning arrested and charged.
He is in Police custody and is due to appear in Palmerston North District Court tomorrow afternoon.
Police are not looking for any other person with respect to the incident on Ronberg Street.
The man approached Palmerston North Police and was taken into custody without incident.
Police are still trying to identify the firearms used in the shooting.
The 28-year-old Palmerston North man shot in the stomach is expected to make a full recovery and is resting at home.
