Two boys, aged 14 and 16, appeared in the Rotorua Youth Court this afternoon, in relation to an aggravated robbery at a Hastings address last Thursday evening.
An elderly woman and her daughter were confronted in their Outram Road, Akina home.
Both were shocked and upset by the incident, but had no physical injuries.
The teenagers were apprehended in Rotorua, where they live.
Hawke’s Bay Police would like to thank the community for providing valuable information which assisted Police in making the arrests today.
Investigators have spoken to the victims, who are relieved to hear that two people have been held to account.
Police would like to reassure the community that Police consider this to be an isolated and random incident.
