Update on Dome Valley incident

Waitemata Police are continuing to investigate an incident in Dome Valley where a woman has been found on the side of a road with serious injuries.

The victim was found by a member of the public on Waiwhiu Conical Peak Road at around 7am. She has been flown to Auckland Hospital with serious head injuries and will soon undergo surgery.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the victim.

She is described as Caucasian, aged between 20 and 30 and of medium build. She has a tattoo on the back of her lower left leg (pictured) which is a cross with a rose and has the words mum and dad.

The scene in Dome Valley is currently being examined and this will continue as necessary.

Rodney Area Commander Inspector Mark Fergus says anyone who may know who this woman is, needs to contact Police.

“We want to assure the public we are doing everything we can to identify the victim and to establish what has happened. We urge anyone who has any information that can assist Police to please get in touch.”
