Police are continuing their investigation into a fatal crash that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning on Baverstock Road, Hamilton.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating and it is too soon to determine what factors may have contributed to the crash.
The crash involved a motorcyclist who had earlier fled police. At the time of the crash he was not the subject of a pursuit.
Waikato District Road Policing Manager, Inspector Freda Grace said any road death was a tragedy and Police wished to extend their sympathy to the family.
No further information will be released until police have notified next of kin.
