The four people reported missing after failing to return from a four-wheel-drive trip yesterday have now been found safe and well.
Police were notified at about 9:30pm last night that the group of 2 adults and 2 young children had not returned from a day trip in the Wairarapa.
The group had left from Masterton at about midday and overnight search activity was conducted by Police.
Fresh information gained this morning suggested the group may be in the Aorangi Forest Park area.
A helicopter was deployed this morning and the four-wheel-drive vehicle was located near Sutherlands Hut.
Just after 11:00am the group of people was located at Waikuku Lodge on Haurangi Road.
Police thank members of the public for their assistance.
