Hutt Valley Police are continuing to investigate the aggravated robbery of a security van completing a cash uplift at The Mall in Upper Hutt at about 4.30pm on Friday 15 November 2013.
Police are seeking any sightings of the two cars pictured at any time last Friday. Both of these vehicles had been stolen earlier in the day from different carparks in Wellington and Lower Hutt.
After presenting a firearm at the security guard at The Mall on Logan Street two males got into the silver Mazda Premacy station wagon, registration EWR953 and with rear tinted windows, which was being driven by a third person. The group fled the area in this vehicle which was located a short distance away at the end of Ebdentown Street in Upper Hutt.
It is believed the group of offenders ran through the alleyway between Ebdentown Street and Clouston Park Road before getting into a silver Honda Integra, registration FJQ690, also with rear tinted windows which had been parked in Clousten Park Road. This vehicle was located shortly after behind Clouston Park Road shops.
Police would like to hear from members of the public who have seen the vehicles pictured earlier that day or have noticed anything unusual in the locations mentioned and the days leading up to the aggravated robbery. Police are also asking people to contact them if they notice people displaying signs of having come into a large amount of money recently.
