Canterbury Police have released the name of the victim in Tuesday’s fatal crash on SH1 Orari-Rangitata Highway as 47 year old Barry James COLLINS from Timaru.
The death has been referred to the Coroner.
Next of kin have been informed and are understandably devastated at their loss and have asked for privacy in the coming weeks. Victim Support are working with the victim’s family at this tragic time.
Police investigations into the cause of the crash are on-going.
