Canterbury Police are able to name the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on Grahams Road near Tinwald at around 11pm on Friday 24 July 2015. The driver and sole occupant was confirmed as deceased at the scene. He was 63 year old Terry Henry Munday from Ashburton.
The death has been referred to the Coroner. Police and Victim Support are working with Terry’s family at this tragic time.
Officer in Charge of Ashburton Station, Senior Sergeant Scott Banfield, says “The vehicle appears to have left the road at a moderate bend. Police investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash”
