At about 6.40am on Thursday, 17 March 2016, a car lost control at a road works approximately 3 km North of Waihola.
The mazda car struck a bank causing moderate frontal damage. Emergency services from Outram, Milton and Balclutha attended.
The 33 year old female driver and sole occupant suffered a suspected neck injury and a broken rib.
She reported that a white car heading north toward her was fish tailing on the loose gravel causing her to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
Consequently she lost control and left the road.
She believes the white vehilce was mid sized with two occupants.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may be able to assist identify this vehicle.
