Wellington Police are attending to an incident in Customhouse Quay, Wellington CBD after receiving multiple reports of a dangerous driver and a report of an assault.
Police have arrested a man and are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
Motorists are asked to avoid the Customhouse Quay and Brandon Street intersection as there are extensive delays in the area, particularly for north-bound traffic.
The area should be cleared within an hour.
Police thank the public for quickly providing extensive information and for their patience on the roads.
