Woman seriously injured in Greys Avenue, Central Auckland

A women is in Auckland Hospital in a serious condition, after being hit by a truck in central Auckland this morning. 

  Police were called to Greys Avenue at 8.46am.    The woman, who is aged in her forties, was walking her dog when it appears that she was reversed into by a truck.    She suffered serious leg injuries and was rushed to hospital in a status 1 (serious, life threatening injuries) condition.    The truck driver stopped at the scene and the truck has been towed for examination.    The Auckland City Police Serious Crash Unit are now investigating.    Efforts to locate the woman's next of kin are ongoing.    ENDS   Beth Bates/NZ Police   Media please note, a further update will be provided only if there are developments today.
