SH73, West Coast Road, is closed following a serious crash in Templeton this afternoon.

Police were notified of a two vehicle crash at the intersection with Kirk Road around 4.40pm.

Police are urging extreme caution to Wanaka motorists this morning due to black ice in the area. 

State Highway 33 is blocked at Paengaroa after a truck and trailer unit rolled this morning. 

The crash was reported about 5am, at the intersection of Allport Road.
