State Highway 3, Kihikihi is closed near McGhie Road following a crash.
The two-vehicle crash was reported just after 2:30pm.
Initial indications are that there are serious injuries.
Diversions are in place at the intersection with Golf Road and Herbert Street.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
