Wellington motorists are asked to take care on the roads, following heavy rain overnight.
There is flooding in Adelaide Road and around the Basin Reserve, and the Mt Victoria tunnel is currently closed.
There may also be surface flooding on other roads across the region, including motorways.
Please adjust your speed to the conditions and maintain safe following distances.
