Motorists are advised to expect delays or delay travel if possible following a serious crash earlier tonight on State Highway 1, just south of Waitati.
The crash involved two vehicles and was reported about 6.30pm. The highway will be closed for several hours while the Serious Unit carries out a scene examination.
There are no diversions available.
