Police can now release the name of the man who died in a crash on Hakataramea Valley Road near Kurow on 8 May around 11am.
He was 57-year-old Mark Tyler of Christchurch.
Police extend their thoughts to Mr Tyler's friends and family.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
