He did it – a half ironman every day in November! We’re so proud of dog handler Constable Nick Johnston who swam 57km, cycled 2,700km and ran 633km over 30 days, raising more than $40,000 for BetterMan, a charity focussed on men's wellbeing and mental health. As part of Police’s concentrated efforts to implement roadside drug driving testing on New Zealand roads, rigorous steps have been undertaken to ensure Police has met the legislative requirements that would enable Police to commence in December 2025.
Police is proactively releasing information that has been the basis of our gazetting process to confirm positive evidential thresholds for use by an approved analyst to test for a listed qualifying drug that indicates recent use of those listed qualifying drugs.
