Striving towards 1800 new Police

The “Striving Towards 1800 New Police” paper for the Cabinet Social Wellbeing Committee has been proactively released. Redactions were considered under the requirements of the Official Information Act 1982*.

The paper proposes investment in an additional 920 Police officers (Constabulary and Authorised Officers), 240 support staff, and associated operating and capital costs. This is in addition to 880 constabulary officers and 245 support staff funded in Budget 2017 [CAB-17-MIN-0008 refers].
