Home > Constable Thomas Heeps
On 20 October 1934, near Morrinsville, Constable Heeps located an offender who was being sought for killing four people in the Otorohanga area. Constable Heeps was shot twice attempting to return him to the station.
Constable Heeps underwent surgery in Waikato Hospital but died the following day.
The offender shot himself when surrounded by police on a farm.
