Inland Kaikoura Road is closed following flooding caused by recent and ongoing extreme weather events.

Police are responding to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 on the Dunedin Southern Motorway. 

No injuries are reported but traffic is down to one lane.

Police are urging motorists to take care if they’re driving during the state of emergency.
