Emergency services are at the scene of a serious two-vehicle crash on Johns Road, Northwood, Christchurch. 

Police were called about 4.15pm. 

Motorists on State Highway 5 are urged to drive with caution, with ice causing delays and two minor crashes. 

Tram Road, near the intersection with Whites Road, is closed following a serious crash involving a vehicle and a horse.

Police were called to the scene about 6.55pm.
