Wanted man located with his own photo

North Shore Police had success in locating a Beachaven man last week, who was at the top of their wanted list.

Police would like to thank the public for their help, the man’s photo and name in the media led to a number of calls regarding his whereabouts.

The man had also seen his own photo in the local paper and had kept a copy. The article was in his pocket when he was arrested on Sunday night. He appeared in the North Shore Court yesterday on breach of bail charges.

This week, Crime Reduction Teams are looking for 24 year old Keith Williams of Beachaven. A Warrant to Arrest has been issued, Williams is wanted after failing to appear in court and breaching bail on burglary charges.

Williams was last seen in the area of Hotspur Place, Glenfield and is known to stay in local motels. He is not considered dangerous but Police are anxious to locate him. Information can be given in confidence at any Police station, at www.police.govt.nz or by phoning 0800 2GETYA

The Crime and Crash Reduction Teams of North Shore Police are focused on enhancing public safety with an aim to target repeat offenders who continue to commit offences including burglary and theft from and of cars.

The teams also focus on repeat drunk and speeding drivers who contribute to many of the crashes on the North Shore.
