A further arrest has been made in respect to the death of Katherine Sheffield.
23 year old Ms Sheffield was killed during September 1994 in a rural area of Northland.
A person was arrested during 1994 and subsequently convicted of manslaughter in respect to her death.
This subsequent arrest follows an extensive police inquiry launched after further information was received.
The man arrested will appear in Auckland District Court tomorrow morning.
The matter will now proceed to a pre-trial hearing, depositions and subsequent trial.
No further disclosures in relation to new information or evidence can be disclosed at this stage.
