Update on alleged Ruapuna abduction inquiry

1 min read

Hornby Police are still asking to see any photos taken at the Ruapuna races near Christchurch last Sunday with regard to identifying a man who allegedly abducted a five year old girl last weekend.

Sergeant Lew Corbett says that the green two door vehicle sought previously has been identified and the driver and vehicle eliminated from the inquiry.

"We have received some very good information from the public," he says. "If people are able to drop their photos in to us, if they put their name and address on we will make sure they are returned," he says.

The inquiry team is still working through the photos sent in and following up information from the public, says Sergeant Corbett.

The male is described as caucasian, about 172 cm (5’8") tall, slim build with black hair and wearing glasses with round frames.

He was wearing a red T shirt and blue jeans.
