Library Raid

1 min read

The new CCC South Library was raided in the early hours of this morning.

At 4.30am two vehicles were backed through plate glass doors and two Hyundai plasma televisions were taken.

The first vehicle through the doors was a lime green Ford with Ultimate car wash cafe written over it, stolen earlier in the night from a Cashmere address. This vehicle was left in the library.

The second vehicle was a silver Subaru station wagon, quite a new model, guesses Constable Michelle Johnstone from Sydenham Patrol Base.

"The two vehicles were backed in quickly behind each other", she says. "The silver Subaru may also have been in the area earlier in the morning."

Anyone with any information or who saw either vehicle before 4.30am is asked to contact police.
