Police Release Name of Man Missing in Manukau Harbour

Police in New Lynn have released the name of a 34 year old Tongan man who is presently missing, presumed drowned, at Green Bay, on shores of Manukau Harbour.

His name is:

NGAUAMO / Kafoa-mo talau,Male - aged 34 years. - Tongan descent New Lynn, Auckland.

Mr NGAUAMO was the father of four young children.

His wife is expecting another child due in May.

Navy divers concluded their all night search at Green Bay at about 0700 hours this morning, and have established that the man's body is no longer in the tidal area .

The Police [Eagle] Helicopter will carry out further shoreline sweeps this afternoon during low tide.

Police say the family wish to be left alone to grieve in peace, and accordingly the family is asking all members of the media to respect and accommodate this request.
