Police discover clan lab in Glen Eden

Henderson Police have arrested a 34 year old man on drug related charges, after an incident at an industrial warehouse in West Auckland this morning.

Detective Sergeant Murray Free, says that at about 11.00am today Police went to an address in Waikaukau Road, Glen Eden, to conduct routine inquiries at the industrial locality.

On arrival, Police then discovered a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory which caught fire. The occupant was removed from the premises and has been charged with drug related offences.

The fire service attended and cordoned off the area. There was only minor damage to the industrial property. All persons at the location, were given decontamination as a precautionary measure, by the attending fire officers.

The man will be appearing in the Waitakere District Court tomorrow.
