Post-mortem indicates no suspicious circumstances in Matarangi death

1 min read

A post-mortem examination on the body of a man found in scrub behind Matarangi on Monday has been completed in Auckland today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greene of the Waikato CIB said the preliminary findings of the examination were that 19-year-old Cem ERBAY'S death was not suspicious.

"The pathologist reports that Cem suffered a number of injuries, most likely in a fall and that these, combined with his heart condition, were the major contibutors in his death."

Mr Greene said Mr ERBAY'S death has been reported to the Coroner and the focus for the inquiry team now was establishing his movements between when he went missing early in the morning of 01 January and when he was found on Monday afternoon.
