Wellington Police seek witnesses to ANZAC Day flag burningWellington Police are appealing for people who saw the protesting and flag burning at the cenotaph during yesterday's ANZAC dawn service to contact them.

"We would like anyone who observed the protesters, and in particular the flag burning, to contact us with information so that we can learn the full version of events," says Acting Sergeant Graeme Bergh.

Two of the protesters were arrested at the service. One was charged with obstruction and resisting arrest and the other was charged with offensive behaviour. They appeared in Wellington District Court yesterday afternoon and both entered not guilty pleas. They will next appear on 22 May.
