1 min read

Avondale CIB investigating last Tuesday night's burglary of Gun City in Carr Rd, want to know who the man purporting to be a water meter reader is who visited the store earlier that same day, July 2.

The man is described as European in his 60s, about 188cm tall, of medium to solid build with short grey hair and glasses and wearing a blue polar fleece top.

He did not present any identification and inquiries have determined no one from Watercare was assigned to read the meter at the Gun City that day.

Officers would like to identify and speak to the man in order that he can be eliminated from the investigation.

If anyone has any information about who this man was or in relation to the burglary during which 25 firearms were stolen, they should contact Detective Sergeant Mike Williams on 09 213 8495.
