Commuter traffic heavy in Wellington

1 min read

Wellington commuters have hit the roads early this morning and already the main arterials into the city are crawling trying to reach work ahead of today's truck convoy protest.

Police are appealing to motorists to be patient as long delays are expected. About 60 trucks are at 7.05 assembling at McKays Crossing and another 60 at Seaview ready to leave Petone.

Please be aware of emergency services vehicles and pull over to let ambulances, fire or police vehicles through.
